SECOND INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL COMPETITION MICRO ECO HOUSE 2022

The Ekokultplus Association, the Faculty of Architecture of the Universy of Belgrade and Magazine for eco architecture and culture EKO KUĆA, are announcing the Second international architectural competition for a conceptual architectural solution on the topic MICRO ECO HOUSE 2022.

Second international architectural competition MICRO ECO HOUSE 2022 is intended for young architects, designers, landscape architects and applied artists up to the age of 30 and faculty students from the above fields. The concept of a micro house represents unique archaic objects located in nature, which are theoretically based on the idea of a minimalist house, whose focus is on its functional and formal, aspects, but also on social issues. It represents a possible answer to the question of the existential minimum for residence.

The competition will open the question of an eco-sustainable house, with its adaptation to the natural context and use of renewable energy sources and natural environmentally-sustainable materials, but it should also give an answer about the possible existential minimum of living space while providing all aspects of sustainable comfort. Ecological micro houses can give broad answers about the possibilities of quality and sustainable stay in nature and their use.

The present moment which is marked by the corona virus pandemic has increased interest in living in nature and opened the possibility to influence and improve access to green technologies in such a creative way and promote the overall prefabricated house industry in the region, as one of the models of sustainable construction in the future.

The aim of the project is to recognize (by redefining the basic human needs for living in nature) define and design a flexible and multifunctional facility as an essential part of the human environment, with the introduction of new technological, constructive, thermotechnical and energy efficient methods, with the use of renewable energy sources, traditional construction methods and natural materials.

The competition aims to promote young creators and to affirm the concept of ecological architecture through social networks and accompanying media. In this way, the creativity of the younger generations is enriched by an environmentally sustainable approach to design, engineering and construction of buildings and using renewable energy sources, which contributes to environmental protection and prevention of further climate change - says the president of the international jury, architect Vladimir Lovrić

The announcement of the results of the competition will be on October 7, 2022.

The awards ceremony will take place at the opening ceremony of the Fifth International Manifestation and CONGRESS SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE - ENERGY EFFICIENCY - SAEE, on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 7 pm in the central hall of the Yugoslav Film Archive, Uzun Mirkova 1, Belgrade.
