Specialized Conference in Japan: Assistant Professor Bojana Grujic, PhD, Awarded with Golden Plaque
International cooperationUNIBLConferences and SymposiumsNewsAwardAssistant Professor Bojana Grujic, PhD, from the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Banja Luka showed at the Specialized Conference YSRM2019 & REIF2019 (Young Scholars' Symposium on Rock Mechanics and International Symposium on Rock Engineering for Innovative Future) that the strength of an individual and importance of perfecting really matter and can lead to a better future.
The conference was held from 1 to 4 December 2019 in Okinawa, Japan, and Assistant Professor Grujic won the Golden Plaque Award for the University of Banja Luka, and was given the first (А) Scholarship Award, and so contributed to the development and promotion of our University in the world. Among more than 500 papers and scientists from all over the world at the said conference, Grujic participated with the paper titled: “Development of the Numerical Model for Predicting and Reducing Geohazards – Case Study: Mine of Salt Rocks in Tuzla”.
Further to this, Bojana Grujic achieved remarkable results in her research in prior years and in 2019, alike. At the postdoctoral research competition in Japan, for which a total of 1247 candidates (PhD candidates) from all over the world applied, whereof there were only 110 prizes, of which 33 for engineering, Bojana was awarded for her postdoctoral research, which she is currently completing at the University of Yamaguchi, in Japan.

The dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Banja Luka, Professor Brankica Milojevic, PhD, also recognized the importance and value of Bojana Grujic’s scientific research and awarded her with the Plaque for outstanding results achieved in her scientific research. The award will be presented at the solemn academy dedicated to mark 23 years of successful work and development of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, which will be held on 13 December 2019 at the said faculty.
