Project “Experiential Beer Garden”
Conferences and SymposiumsNewsUniversity of Bologna, in partnership with the IUAV of Venice, the UNL of Santa Fé, has supported some interesting architectural competitions open to students and young designers, aiming to involve the academic world to interesting and up-to-date topics of planning.
The project is coordinated by YAC –Young Architects Competitions- a group that, since 2013, has been organising 11 important architectural contests which involved many prestigious and international institutions, like Zaha Hadd Acrchitects, Casabella, Crab Studio, Snohetta, Bjarke New York, Aires Mateus and many others.
During next months (from 17th October 2016 to 31st January 2017 ) YAC will promote an interesting call for ideas for designers: “Experiential Beer Garden”, aiming to transform a former brandy ageing building in Castel Maggiore (Bologna) into a brewery with a tasting and shopping point for local food products.
The competition will award the best proposals with a total amount of € 15.000 cash prize and will represents for student a real occasion to deal with stimulating and up-to-date architectural and social topics.
I would like to draw this project to your attention and to invite the students of your University to take part in this unique occasion of architectural debate and international sharing of ideas.
