The goal
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the process of fabrication of small-scale objects and simulations of the design process - from idea to final product using modern technologies.
The outcome
The student will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge about modern digital tools and their application in architecture based on software for three-dimensional modeling and simulation, and constructive elements of an architectural model.
Contents
Free form design software modeling strategies (Rhinoceros) and applications in architecture. Geometry and modeling of curves. Modeling and geometry of surfaces and free forms. Modeling with line, surface and volume elements and preparation for fabrication. Digital simulations in architecture. Mastering the appropriate 3D modeling packages. Fabrication
Methods of teaching
Classes take place through a multi-day workshop using computers and digital tools. The workshop was conceived through short introductory demonstrations of digital tools and software, and student's work on an individual project with the help of teachers during the workshop.
