CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE - RELEVANCE OF SITE-SPECIFIC APPROACH
DATES: JULY 8 - 20, 2019

The two-week course focuses on the relevancy of Venice relation to nature in the construction of a project for a lagoon city. Both territorial and architectural physical materiality and metabolic systems of Venice are confronted simultaneously, to foster new design interpretations and possibilities for the programming and activation of sites in the city. This would allow you to study and confront with the most challenging proposals and their rationalities, whilst re-thinking new interventions.

CITY LAB VENICE: SPACE - PEOPLE – POSSIBILITIES
DATES: July 2 - 6, 2019

In the one-week course you critically and playfully explore public space not only as a "generosity" that architecture can offer to society but also as a political, social and deeply urban condition. The outcome of the one-week course will be a magazine. Created by the participants, it includes your personal projects that reflect on the role of public space in Venice.
