The goal | ||||
Acquiring the necessary knowledge in the field of mathematically correct, graphic solving of geometric problems and engineering presentation of objects on drawings, emphasizing the understanding of the spatiality of engineering drawings.
The outcome | ||||
The ability to represent and resolve mutual relationships of three-dimensional geometric elements on a two-dimensional drawing plane (paper, screen). Ability to read drawings, as a means of technical communication, in orthogonal projections and axonometry.
Contents | ||||
General terms about projection, point, direction, plane. Mutual spatial relations of a point, a direction and a plane (special positions, breakthrough of a direction through a plane and a figure, collapse of a plane). Transformation and rotation and their application; Construction of angular bodies. Collination and affinity. Flat intersections of angular and round bodies. Breakthrough of angular bodies; breakthrough of round bodies. Simple and complex roofs. Intersection of roof planes. Quoted projection.
Methods of teaching | ||||
Lectures are followed by weekly exercise assignments, the materials of which are available to students on the subject's website. At the end of the semester, students submit the completed exercises in the form of an essay. In addition to lectures, exercises and consultations, dynamic animations are available to students on the faculty's website on the subject page, which follow the material covered in lectures and exercises, as well as lectures and exercises.
