The goal
Acquiring basic knowledge about planning and designing roads in cities and towns.
The outcome
Mastering the program contents of the subject enables students to participate in a complex process, starting from the planning aspect to specific technical solutions, establishing the interdependence of the city's development and its traffic base.

City and traffic development. Factors of the urban transport development and alternatives for the future. Structure of city traffic, mobility, traffic. Urban traffic development policy. City traffic systems. Characteristics and functional classification of urban traffic systems. Spatial network models. Public city transport, basics of functioning and classification. Independent rail systems. Program and project conditions. Traffic load. Bandwidth and service level of sections of the city road network and public city transport. Pedestrian movements. Relevant vehicles. Primary network roads. Project elements of cross profile, situational and leveling plan. Boundary conditions. Transverse slopes and curvature of the pavement.
